I'm afraid I got carried away last night. I went deal shopping and thought I was being so smart. It wasn't until I got home, that reality hit.
Yes, I saved 80%.
Yes, everything I bought can be used by my family or as Christmas gifts.
So what went wrong?
Too much money out of pocket. When I added my receipts I came up with close to $40 OOP.
This puts a big damper on this months budget.
It's not that I can't rearrange things to allow for it, but for some reason it's bothering more than it has in the past. I need to think about this situation a little more.

Don't beat yourself up over it, if your area is like ours the prices have increased once again. I have laid off grocery and drug store shopping for a couple of weeks, the deals are just not there right now. So thankfull for a full freezer and an overflowing pantry when things were more affordable. 80% saving ain't chicken feed, sounds like you did good to me!!
ReplyDeleteHi Bre, Sorry I have not updated my blog in a very long time and left you hanging but I wanted to let you know that frugal baby is doing well. His surgery went as well as expected, he took about a month of healing that was very difficult but he is now home and we are happy. He will be needing more surgeries shortly and I don't know that I will have the time to keep the blog up. Thank you so much for the thoughts, prayers and care. I really do appreciate it. Happy Holidays and take care.
